When we began this project it seemed we were miles apart. Deb looked at the chairs and conjured up two people. Lance looked at them and saw… two chairs – an absence. Deb’s pieces create a dance between two people she misses. They are apart, they dance, they come together. Strangely, Lance’s piece also ended up as a dance. Locked down and locked up his ‘characters’ pine for a physical intimacy. As the piece ends they achieve this through the tango.
